This policy lists every cookie and similar technology that Smart Designs Online LTD (trading as Smart Designs) uses on smartdesigns.online, what each one is for, and how you stay in control.

- This site uses only what it needs to work. We do not currently run any analytics, advertising or tracking technologies.
- Nothing optional is ever switched on without your consent, and refusing is as easy as accepting.
- You can review or change your choice at any time with the button below, or from “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. “Similar technologies” — such as your browser’s local storage — do the same job in a different way. The rules are the same for all of them: anything that is not strictly necessary for a service you have asked for needs your consent first.

Our private admin area, which only the Smart Designs team can sign in to, also keeps a small amount of working data in the browser of the team member using it (unsent email drafts and a sound on/off setting). Visitors to the public website never receive these.
Services from other companies
Our fonts are served from smartdesigns.online itself. One part of this site is supplied by another company — the map below. It sets no cookie on smartdesigns.online, and it contacts that company only if you ask for it.

Contact page and the Gloucester location page — only after you choose “Load map”
The interactive map is not loaded until you ask for it. Once loaded it is served by Google inside a frame, and Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address. If you would rather not, use the address shown or the “Open in Google Maps” link instead. Google’s privacy policy.
Links that take you to another website — our Trustpilot reviews, a client’s site, “Add to Google Calendar” after a booking — are ordinary links. Nothing is loaded from those sites until you follow one, and their own cookie policies apply once you do.
The categories
- Strictly necessary – needed for the site to work or for something you have asked for, such as remembering your cookie choice or keeping a signed-in session. These do not need consent and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics – would measure how the site is used so we can improve it. Not in use today. Off unless you switch it on.
- Marketing – would measure advertising or show relevant adverts elsewhere. Not in use today. Off unless you switch it on.
How consent works
- On your first visit we ask whether you accept optional technologies. “Accept all”, “Reject non-essential” and “Manage preferences” are offered side by side; you can also simply carry on browsing, in which case everything optional stays off.
- Your choice is saved in your own browser (the
sd-consententry above) with the date and the version of this policy. It is not sent to our servers. - Our site checks that record before any optional technology is allowed to load. With no record, or a refusal, it does not load at all.
- We ask again after 182 days, and straight away if this policy changes in a way that matters — for example if we introduce an analytics tool.
- You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using “Cookie settings”.
Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you control cookies and site storage in their settings — typically under Privacy or Security. You can delete what is already stored, block new storage, or be warned first. If you clear this site’s storage we will simply ask for your cookie choice again. Blocking storage entirely does not stop you reading the site or sending an enquiry.
